She was predeceased by: her parents, Alan Youngs and Dolores Youngs (Davidson); her husband Preceding; her siblings, Dale, Ardis, Joyce and Royce; her grandson Damien Smith; and her great grandchild Ali.
She is survived by: her former husband Richard Lee Smith; her children, Ron Smith (Julie) of Central Lake, Don Smith of Traverse City, Doug Smith (Cindy) of Fenton and Lisa Thomas (Alvin) of South Carolina; and her grandchildren, Stacy Harbin (Jim), Melissa Smith, Tracy Carefelle (Adam), Candace Jaruzel, Erik Smith (Kellie), Nicholas Smith, Steven Thomas, Brandon Thomas, Chad Thomas and Dustin Thomas. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations can be given to Promedica Hospice or First Presbyterian Church in Elk Rapids.
