With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Stanley Stankovich Jr. of Elk Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on August 20, 2021 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his niece Martha Marie Smith; and his nephew Matthew Russell Smith. He is survived by: his siblings, Rosalie Cook (Donald), JoAnn Smith (Russell) and Michael (Therese McFarland). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews and friends.
Memorials in Joe's memory may be directed to the Cherryland Humane Society (Traverse City), or to the Reigning Liberty Ranch (Traverse City) and Peaceful Ranch (Traverse City) to support their efforts in assisting Veterans.
