He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Troost and Josephine Troost (Timmer); his wife Glenda Mae Cooper; and his brothers, David and James Troost.
He is survived by: his daughters, Brenda Troost of Rockford, MI and Patricia Santa (Brad) of Grand Prairie, TX; his siblings, Judy Brink of Grand Rapids, MI and Thomas Troost of Florida; his grandchildren, Taury Troost and Matthew Brown; and his great grandchildren, Teagen Thomas and Hunter Brown.
