He was predeceased by: his son Joseph Sachjen; his granddaughter Cami Hemminger; and his siblings, Florence Garriott, Emily McMurtie, Clara Wilham, Lucille Allen, Isabella Duckham, Edith Mae Fritz, Irene Hardenburg, Doris Yoder, Carl Sachjen, Jr., Harold Sachjen and Wilkie Sachjen.
He is survived by: his spouse Dorothy Sachjen of Edwardsburg; and his children, Rhonda Jean Oletti (Timothy) of Cary, Delores Hacker (Patrick) of Decatur, Laurie Childs (Edward) of Dowagiac, Kim Sachjen of Michigan and Timothy Sachjen (Dawn) of Edwardsburg. He is also survived by twenty-six grandchildren; thirty-eight great grandchildren; numerous great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
