She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Ford and Leona Ford; her husband Jim Stafford; and her siblings, Elise Gay, Faye Ford, Tommy Ford, Eddie Ford and Jackie Ford.
She is survived by: her children, Candi Whitfield (Lonnie), Neal Stafford and James Stafford (Sheila); her siblings, Joe Ford (Sharon), Irene Balentine, Jimmy Ford, Henry Ford (Debbie), Betty Colley (Allen), Debbie Deeds (Bobby) and David Ford (Mary); and her sister-in-law Sheila Ford. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Contributions in memory of Jessie LaVerne May be given to the First Pentecostal Church.
