She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifton H. Medlin and Tilda G. Medlin (Bendickson); her husband John Hesser; her children, Eugene "Gene" Onken and Janice Evans; and her siblings, Leroy Medlin, Leonna Repar, Dewain Medlin and Sceola Medlin.
She is survived by: her children, Donald Hesser (Valorie) of Decatur, Scott Hesser of Detroit, Deborah Hesser of Edwardsburg and Joyce Lotsbaich of Niles; and her stepdaughters, Sandra Daam (Bill) and Marietta Paul. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
