He was predeceased by: his daughter Danielle Berkel. He is survived by: his spouse Patricia Wilder; his children, Charles A. Hawkins (Vicky) of Elkhart, IN, Kathy Hoeppner (Scott) of Sarasota, FL and Kim Berkel (Randy) of Elkhart, IN; and his significant other Shirley Reafsnyder. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
