He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland Thorne and Mary Thorne; and his brother Garland Ray Thorne (Carolyn Thorne). He is survived by: his sister Faye Hall of Pierce City; his sons, Anthony Bailey (Jennifer) of Traverse City, Alden Knopek of Edmore, Neil Knopek (Melody) of Manton and Dale Thorne of Fort Scott Kansas; his grandchildren, Alyssa (Bill) of Traverse City, Makayla (Justin) of Traverse City, Jacob (Erica) of Traverse City, CJ, Tiara Knopek of Myrtle Beach, Darian Knopek of Myrtle Beach, Natalie Knopek of Grand Blanc, Nicholas Knopek of Grand Blanc, Cassandra McKee (Jason) of Kingsley, Johnathon Litwiller, TJ Litwiller of Cadillac, Tiffany Thorne of Fort Scott Kansas and Morgan Thorne of Fort Scott Kansas; his nieces, Kandie Cole of Stanton and Susan Stockton of Pierce City; and his nephew Mike Hall of Cassville. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Sunday, December 29th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Cedar Lake Seventh-Day Adventist Church (7260 Academy Rd, Edmore, MI 48829). A burial will be held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 at the Cedar Lake Cemetery.
