He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry A. Herald and Alice Herald (Watts); his wife Ida May Herald; his siblings, Derwood Herald, Vergilene Williams and Murnice Hardy; and his stepson Frank Hunt.
He is survived by: his daughter Rose Herald Jorae of Alma, MI; his grandchildren, Tara Herald and Anthony Jorae; his great grandchildren, Gage, Greyson, Willow and Parker; his stepchildren, Ruth McQueen (Lonny) of Vestaburg, Alfred Hunt (Jane) of Edmore, Rose VanBuskirk (Gary) of Edmore and Lyle Hunt (Rene) of Missouri; and his stepdaughter-in-law Chris Hunt of Weidman. He is also survived by several step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, and step-great-great grandchildren, and step-great-great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
