He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Maria Delaluz Mebane and Tomas Garces Sr.; and his uncle Adrian Mebane. He is survived by: his parents, Tomas Garces and Michelle Evans; his children, Jorge "Jo Jo" Escudero and Ava Garces; the mother of his children Adriana Briones; his siblings, John Michael Cuellar (Meghan Danks) of Manistee, Tomas Garces III (Deanna Ramirez) of Corpus Christi, Elieen Ravens (Silvano) of Edmore and Jacobo Mateo Garces (Savannah); and his aunts and uncles, Tammy Biglow, Erasmo Vasquez, Blanca Gonzalez, Juan Gonzalez Jr., Michael Gonzalez, Sandra Hernandez, Nicolas Garces and Rosa Garces.
