He was predeceased by: his father Pedro Cruz-Diaz; his son Alfonso Cruz; and his siblings, Carlos Cruz, Hector Cruz, Yolanda Cruz-Taylor and Pedro Cruz Jr..

He is survived by: his wife Rosemary; his daughters, Erma M. Garcia (Sergio) and Michelle Angiano (Edward); his grandchildren, Erica, Alexis, Jazzanaya, Alejandro, Ja'sion, Tayvia, Estevan and Amelia; his great grandchildren, Emmanuel, Elicio, Elizandro and Enzo; his parent Efigenia Castro Cruz; and his sister Blanca "Iris" Cruz. He is also survived by Many nieces, nephews and cousins.
