With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lloyd Earl Spoonholtz of Eau Claire, Michigan, born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on September 29, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Spoonholtz and Ila Spoonholtz; his in-laws, Cecil, Alice Preston (Sells), Mary Louise Vertz (Leroy), Opal Munyon (Gaylord), Jay Spoonhaltz (Georgia) and Carol Jean Goddard; his siblings-in-law, Donna Hicks and Wilbert Reinert, Jr.; and his friends, Carla Gray Weiser and Judy McGowan.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Todd of Dowagiac, Mark (Teresa) of Mills River, Scott of Watervliet and Sarah of Eau Claire; his grandchildren, Tyler, Ryleigh and Madison Spoonholtz of Mills River; his brother-in-law Edward Hicks of Eau Claire; and his siblings, Joy Reinert of Iowa, Helen Spoonholtz of Iowa and Richard "Dick" Spoonholtz of Iowa. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
Memorial contributions may be made to Berrien County Animal Services, CS Mott Children's Hospital at the University of Michigan, or any local American Legion.
