He was predeceased by: his father William Axley; his brother-in-law Gene Dutzy; and his pet Rally. He is survived by: his mother Claudia Whitaker (Hasty); his daughter Stacie Whitaker of Lansing; and his siblings, Shelley Dutzy of Warren, Kevin Whitaker (Jenni), Michael Whitaker of Eaton Rapids and Steven Whitaker (Dawn) of Eaton Rapids. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
