She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Charles Sr. and Vera Belle McMann (DeWaters); her husband David Curtis Mathews Sr.; her granddaughter Jessica Mathews; and her brothers, Alvin McMann and Rick McMann.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Ackerman (Douglas), David Mathews (Angela), Sandy Bristow (Randy Blaylock), Charles Mathews, Dawn Golding (Tommy) of Lansing and Donald Mathews (Jennifer) of Dimondale; and her siblings, Les McMann (Beatrice) and Barbara Richardson. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
