He was predeceased by: his parents, Larry Silvernail and Rosemary Silvernail (Scheibelhut); and his brother Tom Silvernail (Mary Jane Silvernail). He is survived by: his son Joshua Silvernail (Jennifer Rogers); his grandson Logan Silvernail; his stepmother Catherine Lee Mohr; and his siblings, Aron Silvernail, Rhonda Silvernail, Ann Silvernail and Stacy Ferman (Ken). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation or Wildside Rehabilitation and Education Center.
