He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay Sanders and Norene Sanders (Potter); his wife Virginia; and his brothers, Bruce and Lennis.

He is survived by: his children, Shey Zenker (Steve), Pamela Tigner and Kevin Sanders (Deb); his siblings, Ralph Sanders (Linda), Clair Sanders and Esther Shrontz (Dean); and his sister-in-law Lauralee Sanders. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; many great grandchildren.
