She was predeceased by: her parents, Phill Newsome and Betty Ruth Dye; her stepfather Virgil Thacker; and her siblings, Ernie Newsome and Brenda Hall.
She is survived by: her husband Paul Johnson; her daughters, Teresa Stevenson (Melvin) of Holt and Jennifer May (Rich) of Eaton Rapids; her grandsons, Michael Wilbur of Eaton Rapids and Tyler May of Eaton Rapids; her siblings, Ronny Thacker (Judy) and Sheila Allen of Eaton Rapids; and her nephews, Wyatt and Blake. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
