He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Darnell and Lillian Darnell (Bunker); and his brothers, Clarence, Terry and Lyle Darnell.
He is survived by: his wife Paula Darnell; his daughter Clarice Glennie of Eaton Rapids; his grandchildren, Tiffini Darnell (Jeramy Smith), Samantha Holbrook (Thomas Belcher), Nicole Holbrook (Michael Richards) and Shannon Holbrook; and his siblings, Ronald, Ray Darnell, Lois Clark (Dave), Karen Roebuck and Ila Collins (Larry). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
