It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jean Houghton of Eaton Rapids, Michigan, born in North Star, Michigan, who passed away on August 9, 2021, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ross Sparks and Nora Sparks (Baker); her husband John "Jack" Houghton Jr.; her children, Nora Jean Wellman (Forrest) of Eaton Rapids and John Don Houghton (Michele) of Hudsonville; her grandchildren, Jerry Middlesworth (Cheri), Wendy Tozer (Mark), Jacob Dent (Janelle), John Houghton IV (Leah) and Kealy Houghton; her sister Merna Wolfe; her sisters-in-law, Elaine Wood, Donna Houghton and Joan Sparks; and her daughters, Mary Middlesworth and Janet Slyvester. She was also cherished by 8 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren.

“We are sending our care for the family of Jean, our dear neighbor and true friend since meeting her in 1967, when we moved across the road on West Remus Rd. Our son, Tom just reminded us that he was saved in their living room when " coach Ebby" was doing a Lay Witness mission program at Mt. Pl. COMMUNITY CHURCH. WE KNOW THERE IARE GREAT CELEBRATIONS GOING ON IN HEAVEN! HERB AND JANE LENON AND FAMILY.”
