He is survived by: his wife Shawne Modert; his children, Sheena McKinney (Travis) of Traverse City and Isaac Modert (Leslynn Feen) of Battle Creek; his grandchildren, Daniel, Emerson, Lincoln and Amelia; and his siblings, Burt Modert (Evelyn), Bart Modert (Pam), Alicia Thurlow (Bob), Brenda Whitmore (Richard) and Crystal Ancheta (Michael).
