It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frederick C. Rakunas of Eastport, Michigan, who passed away on December 18, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernice Rakunas and Charles Rakunas of Woodridge, IL; his son Steve Rakunas of Grawn; and his in-laws, Estelle and Ernest Rubas of Burbank, IL..
He is survived by: his wife Gwen; his son Jeff Rakunas (Rachel) of Cypress; his brothers, Casimir Rakunas of Lisle, IL and Larry Rakunas (Mary) of St. Charles, IL; his brother-in-law Ernie Rubas of Oak Lawn, IL; his daughter-in-law Colleen Rakunas of Traverse City; and his grandchildren, Drew Taylor of Algonac, MI, Ian Rakunas of Traverse City, MI, Owen and Peyton Rakunas of Cypress. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
