He was loved and cherished by many people including: his brother Butch; his parents, Carl B. Babcock and Oka B. Babcock (Millard); his wife Diane Babcock (Kutcher); his children, Lauren Huberty (Jamie), Bruce Babcock (Richelle) and Elise Howell (Kyle); his grandchildren, Phoebe Miedema (Alex), Matthew Huberty, Ryan Babcock, Anthony Huberty, Sean Babcock, Eva Howell and Jude Howell; his great grandchildren, Owen and Liam Miedema; and his siblings, Nicole Dillon, Cheryl Clark and Brent Babcock. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made in Butch's name to the Playscape at Holy Family Catholic School or to the Lighthouse Pavilion Project via Friends of Tawas Point State Park.
