She was predeceased by: her parents, Emory Frank Carpenter and Mary M. Carpenter (Brehmer); her former husband Merle Emerson Smith; and her siblings, Doris Carr, Claire Ernst, Don Carpenter and Lynn Carpenter.
She is survived by: her husband Roving Volunteers of Christ's Service; her sons, Chris Smith (Robin), Brion Smith and Scott Smith; her grandchildren, Sarah, Erica, Jessica, Travis and Amber; and her sister Beryle Wilkins. She is also survived by 9 Great Grandchildren.
