He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Roscoe, Elsie Hall, Mack and Ada Payne. He is survived by: his parents, Joel Payne and Helen Payne (Hall) of Athens; his wife Cathy Payne; his sons, Eric D. Payne of Kalamazoo and Ryan Payne (Amelyn) of Kalamazoo; his siblings, Julie Gunning (Tim) of Battle Creek, Phil Payne (Lynette) of Grandville and Jody West (Derrick) of Battle Creek; and his grandchildren, Malia and Luke Payne. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews.
