She was predeceased by: her parents, John Orth and Mary Orth; her husband Richard L. Busdiecker; and her brother Karl Orth. She is survived by: her children, Matthew (Suzanne) of Beverly Hills and Sara of Atlanta, Georgia; her grandsons, Blaise and Amanileo; and her brothers, Herb (Cindy) and John (Beatrice). She is also survived by niece and nephews.
Getrude donated to various organizations and charities over the years including Plan International (https://planusa.org) and Southern Poverty Law Center. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes are suggested to one of these organizations.
