We are sad to announce that on February 4, 2023, at the age of 81, Barbara McAvoy Cunningham of East Lansing, Michigan, born in Owosso, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Brown and Grace Brown (Noak); her former husband James A. McAvoy Jr.; and her husband Edward Cunningham. She is survived by: her children, Jim McAvoy (Devon), Kelly Farris (Bob) and Missy Sovis (Rob); her grandchildren, Josh Farris (Lacy), Carys McAvoy (Samuel Armstrong Jr), Kyle Farris (Samantha), Kinsey Phillips (Pat), Katie Bontekoe (Jon), Jenna Gamrat (Joey), James McAvoy (Destiny Varela), Jacob Farris (Kenedie Booden), McKenna and Brielle Sovis; her great grandchildren, Amelia, Finn, Ryder, Violet, Sawyer and Archer; and her sister Ann Cooper (Dave). She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Knights of Columbus or the Shiawassee County Humane Society.
