She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Welch and Helen Welch (Donaldson); her husband Bruce Gillespie; and her granddaughter Marleea Gerfen. She is survived by: her daughters, Anne Phelps (Douglas) of East Jordan and Marsha Bell (Lee) of Crete, Illinois; her grandsons, Daniel Phelps of East Jordan and Kileean Bell (Meg) of Crete, Illinois; and her great grandchildren, Roman Gerfen of Longview and Ezra Bell of Crete, Illinois. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
