It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Beatrice Margaret Orchard of East China, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on January 7, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Beatrice Rogers; her husband John Orchard; her children, Christine Stephenson and Michael; and her siblings, Ann Kitchen, Dorothy Beyer, Delores Taylor, Donald, John and Joe Rogers.

She is survived by: her children, Mark Orchard (Jane), Cathy Simons (Bill) and Cindy Portice (Craig); her daughter-in-law Christine Orchard; her grandchildren, John Orchard (Liz), Jason Orchard (Cara), Leslie Orchard (Alex), Dan Stephenson, Denise Nolan (Henry), Ashlie Smith (Matt), Amber Kolis (Jason), Alex Portice and Michael Lumley Orchard; her great grandchildren, Alina, Evan Orchard, Brooklyn, Holden Orchard, Emily, Jamey, Jesse Stephenson, Becca Lee (Jared), Bryanna, Naomi Nolan, Hunter, Senna Bea Smith and Theodore Kolis; her great great grandchildren, Jaxsyn, Wade and Aaliyah Lee; and her siblings-in-law, Elmer Kitchen, Sally Rogers and Ginny Platte. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She personally thrived through both cancer and COVID and was blessed with health and happiness most of her life.
