He is survived by: his parents, Walter Sr. Brooks and Cathy Brooks (Grifka); his wife Carmen; his children, Logan Brooks (Debbie), Katelyn Brooks (Chelsea), Jordynn Young and Tyler Fisher (Danielle); his granddaughters, Paisleigh Brooks and Skylar; his sister Deana Brooks (Mark); his in-laws, Steve and Sheri Hall; and his mother-in-law Carla Downer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Carmen.
