He was predeceased by: his parents, Sigel Gibson and Dora Gibson (Everidge); his great grandchild Jack; and his siblings, Cecil, Bert, Lula Mae, Steve and Thelma.

He is survived by: his wife Jan; his sons, Dave (Donna), Chuck (Leah), James and Jon (Christy); and his siblings, Pearl, Delma Gene, Raymond, Ronnie and Barbara. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
