He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his children, Holly Cameron (Brent) and Ron Friend; his grandchildren, Alex Cameron, Eric Cameron (Heather), Stephany Friend, Stephen Friend and Josh Friend; his siblings, Janet Carsten (Dale) and Bernard Friend; and his sister-in-law Bonnie Friend. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
