It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joyce Gardner-Lawton of Durand, Michigan, who passed away on February 6, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Grayson McLean and Bessie McLean (Ryans); her brothers, Tom and Don McLean; her son-in-law Jeff Miner; and her granddaughter Alexa Davila.
She is survived by: her husband Bruce Lawton; her daughters, Kelli Miner and Karin Hawkins (Steve); her sister Pam Abston; her stepchildren, Bob Lawton (Linda), John Lawton, Michael Lawton, James Lawton (Beth) and Kate Lawton; and her grandchildren, Adam Davila, Alissa Davila, Taylor Hawkins (Kaily), Wes Hawkins (Alexandra), Bruce, Erin, Quinn, Myles Lawton, Hannah, Jake Wandoff, Emma and Grace Lawton. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sharp Funeral Homes - Miller Road Chapel (8138 Miller Rd, Swartz Creek, MI 48473). Viewing was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (700 Columbia Dr, Durand, MI 48429). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A rosary was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Family and Parish.
