She was predeceased by: her parents, John Dowell and Lula Dowell (Onyon); her spouse Verne L. Hoshal, MD; her son Scott; her stepson Ronald; her grandson Jeffrey; her siblings, Wayne, Marjorie Middleton (Bob), Fredrick Dowell (Marge) and Shirley Kennedy (Richard); and her nephew Timothy.
She is survived by: her sons, Gregory and Keith (Hector); her stepsons, Verne, Jr. (Agnes) and Stephen; her grandsons, Steven (Gillian) and Brendan (Danielle); and her great grandchildren, Malakai and Ellie. She is also survived by step great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, a few cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes - Durand Chapel (501 N Saginaw St, Durand, MI 48429). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Red Cross, Durand Area Schools Educational Foundation, Durand Union Station, or the Shiawassee Humane Society.
