He is survived by: his children, Brian Vernon (Stephanie), Michael Vernon (Jennifer), Cheryl Pierce (Steven) and Denise Dennison (Robert); his grandchildren, Matthew Vernon, Kara Gear (Bradley), Jessica Spangler, Kyle David Pierce, Katelyn Marie Miller (Jerry), Breanna Pierce and Brittany Pierce; his great grandchildren, Jerry, Chanel and Abrina; his wife Carolyn Ellen Stevens; and his siblings, Joseph Vernon, David Vernon (Patty), Larry Vernon and Susan Moore (Tom).
