With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James J. Filipiak Sr. of Durand, Michigan, born in Alpena, Michigan, who passed away on February 16, 2023 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Anthony Filipiak and Gladys Filipiak (Niedzwiecki); his wife Elaine; his children, Jennifer Keilitz (Bob) and Jim Filipiak; his daughter-in-law Kathy Filipiak (Mondro); his grandchildren, Kyle, Lance and Alex; his siblings, Christine Niedzwiecki and Tony Filipiak Jr.; his brother-in-law Curtis Reynolds; his son Ken; and his sister Genevieve. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
