It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Chester Grifka (Durand, Michigan), born in Bad Axe, Michigan, who passed away on August 17, 2018, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Theresa Grifka; his siblings, Raymond, George and Geraldine Briolat; his brothers-in-law, Jim Bull and Eugene Briolat; and his nephew Dennis Grifka.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia of Durand; his daughters, Shelly Grifka of Belleville and Colleen Buda (Brian) of Brighton; his siblings, Euguene Grifka (Dorothy) of Bad Axe, Virgil Grifka of Mussey Township, Duane Grifka (Connie) of Bad Axe, Elaine Feige of Romeo and Judy Sheridan (Terry) of Warren; and his siblings-in-law, Tony Sovis (Eloise) of Montrose, Tom Sovis (Jan) of New Lothrop, Helen Malik (Fred), Mary Chris Bull of Bluffton and Patricia McNeill (Gary) of Whitmore Lake. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church of Durand, or to Easter Seals.
