He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Nelson and Ruth Nelson Sr. (Finney); his children, John Nelson (Stephanie), Mark Nelson (Teresa) and Michelle Koons (Stephen); his grandchildren, Heidi, Jamie, Kera, Michael, Cameron and Heather; his great grandchildren, Sierra, Jaxon, Jane and Drew; his great great grandchild Juliette; his wife Jane Nelson; his son Steven Nelson; and his sister Eula Jean Ellsworth (Arthur).

Memorial Contributions in Charles's name are suggested to Veterans National Home.
