He is survived by: his wife Colleen; his children, Bridgette Criner (Kimon), Tatum Criner Romanowski (family: Chelsea Repaal, Michelle LaJoye-Young, Ethan Young), Teresa LaJoye Mackintosh (Craig), Avery, Brooks, Patti Gray (Jason), Dane, Piper and Danyelle Blakely (Paul); his grandchild Beckham; his child Jesse LaJoye (Hannah); and his siblings, Jeanne Seavoy (Babe), Melvin LaJoye (Bud), Clyde LaJoye, Mary Ann Bernard, Sandy LaJoye, Joe LaJoye, Ric LaJoye and Nancy Cuncannan.
Memorial contributions given in Jim's name are suggested to the Shiawassee County Sheriff's Office, to be used for officers and their families in need.
