He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert E. Baker and Estella M. Baker (Koder); his wife Bernice L. "Lou" Cooper; his son Lynn Baker; and his siblings, Albert Baker (Alma), Richard Baker (Robbie), Lucy Shepherd (Dick) and Jean Bowerman (Bill).
He is survived by: his children, Craig Baker (Valarie) of Adrian, Patricia McLaughlin (Jerry) of Maybee and Cheryl Thomas (Randy) of Livonia; and his daughter-in-law Colleen Baker of Monroe. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
