He is survived by: his wife Kathleen D. Laird; his sons, Richard Ernest Junior (Amalie), Ryan Ernest and Tony Laird (Tia); his grandchildren, Ryan Jr., Raelynn, Austin, McKenzie, Liam, Kenna, Genevieve and River; and his brother Raymond Ernest.
