He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Cardinal of Dryden; his children, David McDaniel (Kelly) of Onaway, Lance McDaniel (Tammy) of Dryden and Kimberly Elkins of Troy; his siblings, Gail Allen (John), Chuck Cardinal (Chris), Dick Cardinal (Nanci) and Kim Chruickshank (Chris); and his aunt Viv. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
