He was predeceased by: his wife Eileen; and his daughter Carol Hogan (James) of Lapeer. He is survived by: his children, Francis Smith of Dryden and Adele Winslow (Gary) of Imlay City. He is also survived by 8 Grandchildren, 13 Great-Grandchildren and 4 Great-great Grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospitals or Dryden Veterans of Foreign Wars.
