He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville C. Akin and Hilda P. Akin; and his niece Lisa C. Carr. He is survived by: his sister Wanda C. Hatcher (Gene); and his nieces, Diane Kilmer, Judy Ide and Jan Hatcher. He is also survived by his nieces and cousins.
