With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edsel R. Powell of Drummond Island, Michigan, born in Harlan, Kentucky, who passed away on November 23, 2021 at the age of 80. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Edsel R. Powell to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Powell and Linda Powell (White); his son Robert Crowe; and his brothers, Tilford Gibson, Johnny Powell, Odevia Powell, Kenneth Powell and William Powell.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Powell; his children, Teresa Miller of Columbus, Lore Morris (Theodore) of Tamarac and David Powell of Bowling Green, Kentucky; his sister Katie Steinman (Donald) of LaSalle; and his grandchildren, Lanita Bohonnan, Christopher Morris and Richard Powell. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to their church to continue ministering to their community.
