With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris (Thompson) Ellis of Drummond Island, Michigan, born in Rudyard, Michigan, who passed away on April 12, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Claire Thompson and Lillian Thompson (Arbic); her siblings, Barbara Mitchell and Austin Thompson (Wanda); her sisters-in-law, Sharon Thompson and Penny Thompson; and her brothers, Merlin Kelly (Lorna), Paul Staley (L. Jean) and Ed Voss (Aleen).
She is survived by: her husband Thomas C. Ellis; her children, Thomas G. Ellis (Pam) and Lisa Tarr (Jim); her grandchildren, Thomas R. Ellis (Niki), Andrew M. Ellis (Nicole), Sarah D. Howard (Kenn), Scott A. Ellis, Ellis B. Tarr (Melanie) and Austin C. Ellis; her great grandchildren, Deryk Lazarz (Mary), Taylor Lazarz (Nick), Trisha Lazarz (Colin), Ivan Ellis, Tanner Howard, Kenzie Howard and D. J. Molina; her great great grandchildren, Owen Lazarz and Griffin Schut; and her siblings, Don Thompson, Ron Thompson (Annette), Judy Thompson, Lois Kangas (Robert) and Cathy Humphries.
