He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo G. Hoey and Frances Olga Hoey (Bucy); his son James Hoey; and his brother Patrick Hoey. He is survived by: his wife Tess; his daughters, Michelle Hoey (Mark Fenlon) of Pickford and Joyce Anderson (Rob) of Drummond Island; his grandchildren, Colton Bucht, Tyler Anderson (Katie) and Alyssa Anderson; and his siblings, Rosalie McCarthy (Pat) of Naples, Martha Lee Schneider (Robert) of Indian River, Rita Barnes (Ted) of Ann Arbor, Daniel Hoey (Marlene) of Ann Arbor and Burton Hoey of Dexter.
