With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Dempsey of Dowling, Michigan, born in Battle Creek, Michigan, who passed away on October 3, 2021 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ardyn Dempsey and Elizabeth Dempsey (Johnston); and his brother Ardyn Dempsey. He is survived by: his wife Jodelle Runyan; his sons, David Scott of Battle Creek and Barton Dempsey (Sue) of Lowell; his grandchildren, Brett, Blain, Bryce, Savanna, David and Tyler; his great grandchild Georgia; and his sister Donna Thurman (Hollis). He is also survived by parents, their children, and many of their friends.
