He was predeceased by : his parents, Ardyn Dempsey and Elizabeth Dempsey (Johnston); and his brother Ardyn Dempsey. He is survived by : his wife Jodelle Runyan; his sons, David Scott of Battle Creek and Barton Dempsey (Sue) of Lowell; his grandchildren, Brett, Blain, Bryce, Savanna, David and Tyler; his great grandchild Georgia; and his sister Donna Thurman (Hollis). He is also survived by parents, their children, and many of their friends.
