She was predeceased by: her parents, Irving Mead and Marjorie Mead (Blake); her husband Harold Peterson; and her siblings, Carol Mead, Herbert Mead and Betty Phillips.

She is survived by: her children, Glenna Newton (Tim) and Eric Peterson (Dawn); and her brother Dalton Mead (Judy). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.

Memorial contributions in Marcella's honor may be made to First Christian Church.
