With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Lena Simpson of Dowagiac, Michigan, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Lena left this world on December 17, 2024 at the age of 97, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred South and Lena South (Warren); her husband Clarence Simpson; her children, Bobby Simpson, Marvalean Leffert and Donnie Simpson; and her siblings, LeRoy South, Dorothy Dawson and Opal Carlock.
She is survived by: her children, Gearldean Hicks, Johnnie Simpson (Becky), Clarence "Lynn" Simpson (Terrie) and Tammy Jerz (Gregory); and her brothers, James South and Joe South. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 36 great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the South Wayne Cemetery (22301 Gage St, Dowagiac, MI 49047).
