She was predeceased by: her parents, James Stevens and Lillie Stevens; and her sister Reba Davis. She is survived by: her husband Gary H. Gilpin; her son James of Dowagiac; and her siblings, Carl Stevens of Niles, Martin Everette of Maryville, TN, Elmer Stevens of Dowagiac and Nellie Livingston of Grand Rapids.

Memorials may be made to the Dowagiac Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund.
